The Volkswagen Type 2 lives and breathes as much "careless freedom" as On the Road by Kerouac. Both are symbols of the generation before mine who, high with ideals of "adventure" and "a better tomorrow", would claim their freedom by taking off anyhow and anywhen, going anywhere the road would take them.
My mom had one of these when I was a kid in the early 90s. It was awesome!
